Full Exterior Wash

An exterior wash is important for many reasons, it keeps your paint looking fresh, helps to prevent rust build up (especially for us Michiganders with all of this road salt in the winter), it makes your paint last longer, and it helps to prevent scratching on your paint.

The exterior wash process begins with the tires, your cars dirtiest area. The tires hold on to a ton of brake dust, and other contaminants from the road. Here we tackle all of that brake dust, and other grime on the tires, and the wheel wells, which also hold a lot of dirt.

From there the high dirt areas on the upper part of the vehicles are pre-treated. Places like the fender, bumpers, and rocker panels are areas that are usually heavily soiled on a vehicle. This appearance is even more highlighted on white paint, and on black paint. The fender and front grille are gathering spots for bug guts, dirt, dust, road grime, and various other things that your car comes into contact with on a daily basis. The rocker panels are another area that deserve a lot of attention. The bottom half of a vehicle is where 80% of the dirt is contained, the rocker panels will catch things like road tar (a sticky substance from asphalt that attaches to your car and etches into the paint) it is tricky to remove, but with the right products and technique, it can be removed.

Lastly, the car is foamed down with a high quality wash soap. This will take care of the loose dirt and debris on the upper half of the car, and will break these contaminants down, and make them easier to remove. Then all of the small detailed areas are cleaned out with a detail brush (I am sure to hit every nook and cranny). Then a full contact wipe down of the vehicle is performed, taking extra care not to introduce any new scratches to the paint. I then will rinse, dry, and apply a light spray wax, offering temporary protection to your vehicle. The tires will receive a dressing that will leave them looking deep black, with a nice shine to them. That is my exterior washing process!

Full Interior Detail

The interior is likely the reason that most of you are here, this is where all of those cool videos that you see on Tik Tok or Youtube are done. The interior of a car though it is not exposed to the elements, is a really dirty area of the vehicle, with lots and lots of technical nooks and crannys where dirt loves to accumulate. An interior detail is important to protect your vehicles interior, stop the spread of germs, and to make driving your vehicle enjoyable again.

The first thing is that any remaining trash in the vehicle is gathered and disposed of. Any personal belongings found in the vehicle, will be bagged, and placed in a safe area so that nothing is misplaced. From there, the floor mats will be removed, and cleaned. These usually have a lot of debris and staining from having people coming in and out of the vehicle.

Then begins the vacuuming, this is one of the longer parts of the detail, as there is usually a lot of dirt within the carpets, in the seats, under the seats, in cup holder, etc. For those of us that have dogs or cats, this adds to the overall debris in the vehicle. Pet hair is challenging to remove, but there are ways to do it. This is taken care of as well.

From there we move on to carpet stain removal. This process is another time consuming part, but is important to the overall look, and sanitation of the interior overall. Things like spilled coffee, or other liquids, salt, just to name a few, leave stains in the carpet. I go through a process of treating these chemically (in the right applications if needed, and when the carpeting can handle it). The carpet is then agitated to loosen up that dirt and staining, and then extracted to remove the stains. Minimal water is used in this process, however, it is done first to allow for ample dry time in the even that it is needed. The carpets then will receive another once over with the vacuum to ensure that everything was picked up.

Now for the fun part, the wipe down and agitation of all of the surfaces. This includes areas like the dashboard, the vents, radio, high traffic areas like the steering wheel, arm rest, window console, and cupholders, where dirt loves to hide, or in some cases be very out in the open for everyone to see. Places like under the seats, and any hard plastics, vinyl, rubber, or anything else is gone over very thoroughly to ensure that all of the dirt, and dust is removed from them.

The final touches are to clean the windows, with a tint safe window cleaner. Also, the dashboard, and seats (if leather) will have a non glossy UV protective sealant applied to them to provide your interior with extra protection.

Minor Interior Detail

This detail service is for those of us that have relatively clean vehicles. Which can look like someone that regularly vacuums their own vehicles, and maybe even wipes down some of their own surfaces often. These vehicles will not be insanely dirty, but like most things with cars, there is always more dirt after we leave the car wash. Many of the same services are performed from the Full Interior Detail. But some things are not included, or are not necessary to be done.

All trash will still be removed from the car, the floor mats will still be vacuumed, but likely not shampooed.

Pet hair removal will not be included in this package, unless it is specifically requested by a client, but will incur an additional cost, as it is very time consuming.

All of the interior surfaces will still be wiped down and gone over with great detail. The windows and seats will still be cleaned, and protected with the UV protective sealant.

This is a great option that is more affordable, and is like general maintenance, except with attention to detail applied to it.

Glass Ceramic Coating

This service is great when it comes to helping your windows bead off and avoid holding onto water that create water spots, and make it hard to see out of your window during rain or snow storms.

The Ceramic coating lasts for about 9-12 months, or about 10,000 miles.

Firstly the exterior windows will be cleaned spotless, and streak free. Afterwards, they will be decontaminated with a clay bar, to remove any dirt embedded in the top layer of the glass, leaving it smooth, and ready to receive the ceramic coating.

The glass will be wiped down after this one more time to ensure all dirt is removed from the clay barring process. Then we apply the ceramic coating with an applicator pad, let it dwell to have time to bond and adhere to the glass. Any excess product is then wiped off, leaving a streak free finish.

Once the coating is set and bonded you will experience water beading, and water shedding like shown in the image above. It assists with visibility, helps to shed water spots, and makes your driving experience feel more premium.

Headlight Restoration

For those of you that have foggy, and or hazy headlights, pay attention to this. For a long time, I always thought that I was doomed to having foggy/hazy headlights, or that I would have to just buy new ones. Well there is a solution for this.

The headlights are cleaned, and the area surrounding the headlights are taped off and covered with plastic so that is protected from the process moving forward.

Headlights in todays time are made from acrylic, or other different plastics, they are coated in a clear coat from the factory, and that clear coat can become scratched or oxidized which causes the yellowing and fogginess. The headlights will go though a series of high grit sanding, and wet sanding, until a new finish is on the headlights.

Don’t worry, this removes a the clear coat, and flattens a tiny amount of the top layer of the headlight that is oxidized. It will not leave your headlights with chunks missing or deep scratches. Once this is done a clear coat will be applied to the headlights, and they will be then be buffed. This will leave your headlights looking just as new as the day that the car was made.
